Her big break was the painting of the Nigerian musician and political activist Lagbaja, which is now in the possession of the Forbes listed Cypriot businessman, Suat Günsel.

Emediong revealed that her inspiration comes from music genres that convey a message. She seems to be opening doors for other young and growing artist. She has continued to make a name for herself.

Emediong udnak Uko recently unveiled another expressionistic painting inspired by the song “Beast of no Nation”- Fela Anikulapo Kuti (1986).

Emediong in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, said the painting is aimed at drawing attention to leadership lapses that need to be fixed in the country, while retaining Fela’s earlier message.
