”Okolo Obiechina Miracle is the name A.K.A Brand Swazzy born on 13th of April to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Okolo Kenneth, and a native of Ibagwa-Nike in Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State. A 3rd year student of Accountancy and the first child, born into the family of six.
Growing-up was not easy because it posed a lot of challenges to me and made me see life as full of ups and down. Really, I was not born with a silver spoon, which could have destroyed my vision and my way of thinking.
Nevertheless, I give that to God for my kind of parents whose irresistible passion to giving their children the best of education in life cannot be thwarted.
I started singing at the age of ten but as a young boy, I never thought of going into music at that tender age. In December 2004, my dad bought a music album titled; “Joy Joy Joy by Destined kids now known as Kingdom Celebrities, which after I tenaciously decided to go into music. Though my father kicked against the idea initially but when he realized that singing is a pathological inclination of mine which no one can wholly get rid of, he then gave me his full support.
I released my first single at the age of 16 of which I features Stormrex, after which I followed it up with my first video, at the same age I featured Slow-dog in a song titled “Okwu” which will be officially released later.
In February 2012 when I featured Stormrex, when I called her and told her about the collaboration it happened that she left East to Lagos and from Lagos she would travel to U.S for a tour. When I told my dad this, he said to me “son, get ready we are going to Lagos the following morning”. I went to Lagos with my dad to feature Stormrex, and after working with her my dad right there and then decided to start promoting me with that ‘Single’ I featured Stormrex. Though the help of Aroo Records the song was aired on many radio stations nationwide and the video as well went viral online and was played both international and local TV stations. It took me to places like Sierra-Leone, Ghana and Benin-Republic for music tour and I have worked with so many artistes in and outside Nigeria.
Early this year, I went for pageantry and won Mr. Global Tourism Earth, South South Nigeria. And am currently working on my first single of this year.
Advice to all who wish to become an artiste, but the challenges of life are weighing them down, I want to tell you that nothing is impossible if only you are doing it because it is your passion and not because many people delivering into the entertainment industry.
Be the best o whom you are whether in entertainment industry, or elsewhere cause your gift will one day pave way for you. Respect your gift, train it and be yourself. One day your world will talk about you”.
