6 Unforgettable ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 4 Looks That Are Anything but Subtle

Season 4 brought out even more ‘WTF’ looks than before.

Emily’s back in Paris, and her wardrobe is anything but subtle this season.

Lily Collins’ character, Emily Cooper, has never been one to shy away from bold fashion choices. From the very first season, she’s been a walking billboard for vibrant colors, exaggerated silhouettes, and outfits that demand attention.

Now that season 4, part 1 has dropped on Netflix, we’re treated to an even more daring lineup of Emily’s eye-catching ensembles — and there’s plenty to unpack.

Let’s dive into some of the standout fashion moments from the first half of the season, starting with Emily’s jaw-dropping black and white striped catsuit worn to a masquerade ball in episode 3. This look, complete with a dramatic cape, hat, and mask, is all about making an entrance — and that’s exactly what she did.

The backstory of this outfit adds even more intrigue. In an interview with InStyle, Collins revealed that she collaborated with the show’s costume department to create this Harris Reed-designed piece. Initially, the script didn’t account for such an elaborate entrance, but Collins insisted on showcasing the entire look. “I was like, ‘No, no, no—we have got to show the entire thing,’” she shared, leading to a scene rewrite that allowed the outfit to shine in all its glory.

Next up is the fluffy pastel coat that Emily struts around in, a piece that feels delightfully out of sync with the typically sophisticated Parisian style. Paired with an overtly ruffled button-down and bold green trousers, this ensemble leans into Emily’s playful side while still giving off major “brat summer” vibes.

Speaking of “brat summer,” Emily’s green dress, paired with Mindy’s (Ashley Park) equally vibrant green heels, suggests that these two are not ready to let go of this rebellious trend anytime soon.

Then there’s Camille (Camille Razat), who completely owns the season with a bold, oversized silver bowtie-shaped bra top, standing out against her otherwise all-black outfit. It’s a look that’s far from understated, proving Camille is just as fashion-forward as Emily.

Last but certainly not least, we have Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), whose sleeveless turtleneck ensemble is a masterclass in French chic. With just the right amount of sparkle and a form-fitting silhouette, Sylvie effortlessly exudes timeless glamour — no surprise there, given her fashion icon status on the show.
