7 of The Most Gorgeous Tiara’s Worn By the British Royal Family

Hi everyone,

Today we are talking royalty, the British royal family to be precise. The royal weddings have always been in the news for their grace, attire of the bride, the groom and elegance.

Worn at royal weddings and all major royal events is an important of the royal attire, so also the royal ladies who’ve worn them.

See the collection of gorgeous tiaras worn by the brides and queens of the British Royal family:

  1. The Halo Tiara

One of my fav ever, designed by Cartier in 1936 and was gifted to Queen Elizabeth on her 18th birthday by the Queen Mother.

2. The Lotus Flower Tiara

Seen on Kate Middleton quite a few times, belonged to the Queen Mother. It was created with a necklace gifted to her by her husband.

3. The Burmese Ruby Tiara:

This one I like, embedded in it is about a hundred Burmese rubies. These gorgeous rubies beautifully complement the diamonds in the tiara. The tiara was made in 1973.

4. The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara:

While she was still a princess, the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland committee gifted the tiara to Queen Mary on the occasion of her wedding in 1893, which is how it gets its name.

5. The Diamond Bandeau Tiara:

This tiara was worn by Meghan Markle at her wedding. Having a big diamond brooch in the center, this tiara was designed for Queen Mary in 1932.

6. The George IV State Diadem:

Originally made as a crown for King George IV for his coronation in 1821. This crown as been used a a tiara by three Queens; Queen Mary, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II and it is still around in the family.

7. The Oriental Circlet:

This intricate tiara was designed by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria and was later, gifted to Queen Elizabeth II by the Queen Mother.

I know I said 7, but just couldn’t stop myself from adding this;

8. The Queen Mary Fringe Tiara:

This beautiful tiara can work as a neck piece and a tiara. It was made for Queen Mary in 1919.
