Joan Tarshis, an actress known for an awkward interview about Bill Cosby with Don Lemon, has filed a lawsuit against the TV personality, accusing him of rape.
Tarshis alleges that Cosby drugged and assaulted her on two separate occasions in the early ’70s. In the lawsuit, she claims Cosby invited her to the set of the ‘Cosby Show’ for a writing session, where she was given a drink and subsequently passed out. Tarshis alleges she woke up to Cosby undressing her and engaging in non-consensual sexual acts.
Similar incidents are described in a second encounter. Tarshis is seeking damages for assault, battery, infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment. Cosby’s representative has not commented on the lawsuit.
