Lee Sun-kyun, found dead in an apparent suicide earlier this week, will be cremated, with his remains placed at a memorial park in Gwangju. The funeral proceedings were emotional, with Jeon Hye-jin visibly distraught as she bid farewell to her husband.

“We can’t express how heartbroken and sad we feel,” his agency said.

The actor gained international acclaim for his role in the critically acclaimed film “Parasite,” which won the Best Picture at the Oscars in 2019. He also starred in Apple TV+’s Korean-language series, “Dr. Brain,” in 2021.
