La Mode Entrepreneur Excellence Grant

Ever since Beyoncé teased the launch of her upcoming hair care brand last May, fans and beauty enthusiasts alike have been eagerly awaiting more details. Finally, the Renaissance artist has revealed the name of her first-ever beauty venture: CÉCRED.

In a recent Instagram post, Beyoncé shared a glimpse into the brand’s ethos and journey, accompanied by throwback clips of herself and her mother working in a salon. The post also announced the launch date of CÉCRED: February 20, adding to the anticipation surrounding the brand.

One of the only clues we have about CÉCRED’s offerings comes from a previous selfie Beyoncé shared, featuring lab samples of potential brand staples alongside her signature honey brown locks. Fans can expect a range of products, possibly including mousse, hair oil, and more, all curated to celebrate the sacredness of hair.

In a heartfelt note shared on the post, Beyoncé reminisces about her roots in her mother’s salon, where she learned valuable lessons about entrepreneurship and the importance of nurturing and celebrating hair. She expresses her excitement about carrying on her mother’s legacy and invites fans to experience what she has been creating.

While this announcement may seem unexpected, Beyoncé is no stranger to the beauty industry, having previously launched her fragrance, Heat, in 2010, and served as a brand ambassador for L’Oreal Paris in 2008. With CÉCRED, she aims to prioritize the health and quality of hair, aligning with her personal hair care philosophy.
