While the “big four” fashion weeks continue to reign supreme, Seoul’s biannual showcase is steadily gaining prominence, fueled by the global fascination with South Korean culture.

The Fall-Winter 2024 edition of Seoul Fashion Week concluded recently, featuring runway presentations from over 20 established and emerging brands. With a mission to propel the growth of K-fashion, organizers curated a dynamic five-day schedule, commencing with Sooy Park’s Julycolumn and concluding with the avant-garde designs of Maison Nica.

One of the highlights of the event was the presence of major Korean celebrities, including the popular K-pop band NewJeans, who served as official ambassadors. While the runway shows captivated audiences, it was the street style outside the venues that truly stole the spotlight.

Attendees embraced the chilly weather with a fearless display of fashion, donning wide-legged pants, long structured jackets, and elaborate accessories. From edgy urban chic to sophisticated elegance, the streets surrounding Seoul’s Dongdaemun Design Plaza became a vibrant canvas of Korean style.
