Could Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be heading back across the pond?
According to reports from the Daily Telegraph, The Sun and the BBC, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are considering establishing a private home in Britain, potentially outside London. If the plans go ahead, it would mark their first permanent home base in the UK since leaving Frogmore Cottage.
The reported move would also bring the couple closer to their family. Harry and Meghan are said to be considering British schooling for their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from September.

King Charles is reportedly aware of the couple’s plans and is said to welcome the possibility of seeing more of his son and grandchildren in a private, personal capacity.
The potential return comes after Harry, Meghan and their children made a summer trip to the UK just weeks ago. The visit was particularly significant because Archie and Lilibet reportedly reunited with their grandfather for the first time in more than four years.
Their relationship with the royal family has been complicated since Harry and Meghan stepped back as senior working royals and moved to the United States. Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare, further exposed tensions within the family, and the couple eventually gave up their lease on Frogmore Cottage.
A return to Britain would therefore represent a notable shift — although this time, it appears the Sussexes would be looking for a private residence rather than a royal property.
For now, the move remains at the reported-plans stage. But if Harry and Meghan do settle in the UK, it could mean Archie and Lilibet growing up with considerably more access to their British family and heritage.
And perhaps, after years of distance, a little more family time for the Sussexes and the royal household.
