La Mode Entrepreneur Excellence Grant

Anto Lecky just entered her power era—and no, this isn’t a BBNaija task or red carpet slay. The reality star–turned–media personality has officially been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Creative Economy in Edo State. Yes, government-issued letterhead and all.

The news dropped like a quiet flex, confirmed in a letter signed by Umar Musa Ikhilor (that’s the Secretary to the State Government, btw), with effect from June 23, 2025.

Now, for the people in the back—this is not Anto’s first go at public service. Anto Lecky’s already serving as Special Assistant on Digital and New Media to Nigeria’s Minister of Steel Development, so this isn’t some random celebrity appointment. It’s giving résumé and range.

And what does this new role actually mean? Well, Anto Lecky’s tasked with helping reposition Edo State as a cultural hotbed—tourism, entertainment, heritage, the whole shebang. Think: the global return of Benin bronzes, fresh museum openings, and the state’s rising creative economy. Basically, she’s about to turn Edo into a cultural moment.

On Instagram (because, of course), Anto gave thanks to Governor Monday Okpebholo for the opportunity to serve again, writing:

“There is no better time for Edo State to be at the forefront of tourism and the creative economy…”
Girl, we agree.

And let’s talk about that outfit in her official portraits—Anto didn’t just show up. She arrived in Gbogane fabric from her Etsako roots, decked out in red coral beads that scream royalty, power, dominance, and protection. Symbolism? Check. Slay? Double check.

Also, shoutout to her multi-hyphenate grind: she’s worked at ElectHER, Kunle Afolayan’s film and TV academy, and even ran ops at Nigeria’s first private basketball league. A whole CV.
