Beyoncé’s Warm “Teddy Bear” Blonde Is the Hair Trend You’ll See Everywhere This Fall

Fall is officially here, and so is Beyoncé’s latest hair color trend—warm “Teddy Bear” blonde. While Queen Bey has been rocking various shades of blonde for years, from icy silver at the Renaissance film premiere to golden highlights, her newest look is so subtle you might have missed it. But her longtime colorist, Rita Hazan, is giving us all the inside scoop on this cozy, fall-ready shade.

If you caught Beyoncé’s iconic Fourth of July photos on Instagram, you may not have noticed much change in her hair at first glance—most of it was tucked under a stylish kerchief. But by the time her birthday post rolled around, her new warm, lived-in blonde was front and center, and we’re here for it!

So, what exactly is “Teddy Bear” blonde? Hazan describes it as “a warm beige, just like you’d imagine a teddy bear.” This shade is not as light as some of Beyoncé’s previous blonde looks, featuring subtle caramel and blonde swirls that give it a soft, cozy vibe. It’s perfect for fall, complementing her autumn wardrobe and offering a laid-back, effortless glow.

The goal with this new shade, according to Hazan, was to update Beyoncé’s look without completely changing it. “We’re always looking to change up B’s look by creating a new shade without altering her overall vibe,” Hazan explains. The result? A warmer, richer blonde that feels relaxed and perfect for the cooler months ahead.

Before you run out to grab a bottle of bleach, Hazan has a word of advice—leave it to the professionals. “For this particular color, your colorist should be experienced with lightening darker hair,” she says. Achieving this warm, lived-in blonde at home might not give you the results you want, so it’s best to consult an expert.

To maintain the “Teddy Bear” blonde, Hazan recommends refreshing the color every two to three months. In between salon visits, treatments and glosses can keep the shade vibrant and shiny. She suggests her True Color Ultimate Shine Gloss in Breaking Brass, especially for darker hair that tends to warm up over time. This gloss helps maintain the brightness without letting unwanted brassiness creep in.

With Beyoncé’s seal of approval, expect to see “Teddy Bear” blonde everywhere this season. It’s the perfect, understated color change to welcome fall with a fresh, cozy look.
