“Creed” Star Jonathan Majors Convicted of Misdemeanor Assault in Trial

Jonathan Majors, known for his role in “Creed: III,” has been convicted of misdemeanor assault following a two-week trial. The Manhattan jury found Majors guilty of one misdemeanor assault charge and one harassment violation related to the altercation with his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The actor was, however, acquitted of a different assault charge and aggravated harassment.

The charges stemmed from an incident in March, where Majors was accused of assaulting Jabbari during a car ride in Manhattan. Jabbari, a British dancer and movement coach, claimed Majors struck her in the head, twisted her arm, and fractured her middle finger. The verdict was delivered by a six-person jury, and Majors, who maintained his innocence throughout the trial, showed no immediate reaction as the verdict was read.

Jonathan Majors is now set for sentencing on February 6, facing the possibility of up to a year in jail for the assault conviction. However, alternatives such as probation or non-jail sentences are also under consideration. The trial, which attracted significant attention, was seen as a critical moment for Majors, who hoped to salvage his reputation and maintain his standing as an emerging Hollywood star.
