Customers complain about Kardashian Kollection handbags

Just a month ago, the reality TV star received a raucous reception when she was in town to promote her new Kardashion Kollection clothing line. But now her Australian customers are complaining their Kardashian Kollection handbags, which retail between $34.99 to $129.99, are poorly made and fall apart easily.

Dianna Cass, from Sydney, has purchased three Kardashian Kollection items and all three are broken.

“Within a day of buying my [first] bag the zipper had been damaged,” Ms Cass said. “When I took it to the store to return it all the other bags in stock also had broken zippers.”

“I bought another bag thinking, ‘Oh that must just be a one off thing’ and now the handles are broken. It was poorly stitched.”

Ms Cass says her Kardashian wallet compartments are too small to fit her credit cards.

“If you look at photos of [the Kardashians] they don’t use their own handbags. They’re always carrying Gucci or Chanel, and I can see why now.”

Brianna Scully and her sister were both given Kardashian Kollection handbags for Christmas but had completely different customer experiences. Within a few months, her sister’s bag was broken.

“Her bag lasted about two months before the handles snapped off, so she got it replaced with another Kardashian bag,” Ms Scully said. “The thread on the handles of the second bag started to come out after a few weeks, and they snapped off too. She’s now onto her third bag.

“The problem seems to be with the handles of the bag — the material that connects the handles to the bag keep breaking.

But Ms Scully’s bag has lasted her two years and is in “pretty good condition.”

“It’s the luck of the draw I guess,” she said. “Despite the poor quality of these bags, I think young women are going to continue replacing them just because they want the brand. The bags aren’t cheap, so it’s difficult as a student to keep replacing them but I think the brand can get away with it due to their popularity.”

Other customers have complained the bags have impractical designs.

“The wallets are horrible,” a woman named Christie told Kyle and Jackie O on Kiis FM radio this morning. “You can’t even fit your credit cards in them. Have they even tested putting cards in them?”

Some customers have taken to social media to complain about the handbags:
