Davido has released the official music video for “B4 B4,” bringing Mayorkun and Fola together for a visual celebration of Nigerian culture, traditional artistry and fashion.
Taken from his latest album, ORIADÉ, the video was shot in Lagos by Nouvelle Films and leans heavily into Yoruba heritage, using traditional textiles, architecture, food, music and styling to build a visual world around the song.
The video opens in a sunlit courtyard surrounded by warm brick architecture, where women dressed in indigo Adire fabrics prepare food and grind peppers with wooden mortars. Traditional drummers and dancers add movement to the scene, immediately establishing the cultural setting.
Adire takes centre stage throughout the visual. The traditional Nigerian textile, recognised for its distinctive indigo-dyed patterns, appears across several scenes, giving the video a strong connection to local craftsmanship and heritage.
The visuals then move into a grand palace-inspired setting, complete with clay walls, woven mats and hanging fabrics. It is here that the fashion moments begin to stand out just as much as the scenery.
Davido keeps things relaxed in an oversized blue-and-white tie-dye top worn with crisp white trousers, creating a modern take on traditional textile-inspired dressing. Mayorkun takes a more tailored route, appearing in a sharp black suit layered with a textured green jacket.
Fola completes the trio as the video moves between contemporary styling and traditional Nigerian references, allowing each artist to bring his own personality to the visual.
The collaboration also carries some history. “B4 B4” reunites Davido with Mayorkun, his former DMW signee, while introducing Fola alongside the established Afrobeats stars.
Directed by Perliks Definition and produced by Nouvelle Films, the video does more than provide a backdrop for the song. It uses Nigerian craftsmanship and visual culture as part of the storytelling, bringing together Adire, traditional performance, architecture and contemporary fashion.
