Davido’s global triumph with his single “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys reached new heights as the song secured the second spot on Rolling Stone’s Staff’s top 10 Afropop songs of 2023. This accolade follows closely on the heels of the single’s international success and recognition.

The ranking places “Unavailable” just behind the South African sensation Tyla’s smash hit “Water,” marking an exceptional accomplishment for Davido. The song’s global appeal and infectious beats contributed to its stellar position on the prestigious list.

Notably, Davido isn’t the sole Nigerian artist to make an appearance on the list; Victor Thompson’s gospel hit “Blessing (This Year)” remix featuring Gunna secured the seventh spot. The inclusion of multiple Nigerian artists highlights the country’s influence and prominence on the international Afropop scene.

“Unavailable” is a standout track from Davido’s record-breaking “Timeless” album, which has been a consistent chart-topper. The album has spawned several hit singles, including “Feel,” “No Competition” featuring Asake, and “Kante” featuring Fave.

This latest recognition from Rolling Stone adds to the long list of achievements for Davido in 2023. “Timeless” secured the top position on Pulse Nigeria’s list of the top 10 albums of the year and made it to Billboard’s Top 50 albums of 2023. Additionally, Davido was crowned the number one artist on Pulse Nigeria’s list of the top 10 hottest artists of 2023.

As the year unfolds, Davido’s anticipation for the Grammy Awards on February 5, 2023, grows. “Unavailable” is nominated for Best African Music Performance, while “Feel” and “Timeless” are nominated for Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Album, respectively.
