The longtime BBNaija host has built a reputation for turning every live show into a fashion spectacle, and the Season 11 premiere was no exception.
With this year’s “Show Ya Sef” theme and a grand prize of ₦160 million, the opening night set the stage for another memorable season. Naturally, Ebuka made sure his entrance was just as unforgettable.
For the premiere, he stepped out in a custom ATAFO ensemble designed by celebrated Nigerian designer Mai Atafo, delivering a masterclass in modern tailoring.
The standout feature of the look was its striking dual-direction ombré effect. The double-breasted jacket began in deep charcoal black across the shoulders before gradually fading into crisp off-white at the hem. The tailored trousers reversed the concept entirely, starting in off-white at the waist before transitioning into charcoal black below the knees and flowing into polished black patent leather boots.
It’s a simple concept on paper, but one that requires exceptional craftsmanship to execute. Achieving opposing ombré gradients across structured tailoring is no easy feat, and ATAFO’s precision ensured every transition looked seamless and intentional.
The jacket featured sharp peak lapels, six contrasting black buttons, and a sculptural black fabric bow placed on the right lapel, adding a bold architectural element without overwhelming the clean silhouette.
Ebuka completed the outfit with oversized black square sunglasses, diamond stud earrings, a gold wedding band, and his signature impeccably groomed beard, allowing every accessory to complement rather than compete with the tailoring.
What makes the look so successful isn’t just the dramatic colour transition—it’s the balance. The matte finish of the fabric contrasts beautifully against the glossy patent leather boots, while the structured tailoring keeps the playful ombré effect feeling sophisticated rather than experimental.
