A standard passport photo was clearly never going to cut it for Enioluwa Adeoluwa.
The Nigerian content creator and actor has updated his official school portraits, and instead of settling for the usual stiff headshot, he turned the moment into a mini menswear editorial. Sharing the photos online, he kept the explanation simple: “Took some new headshots for my school, since the Afro is here to stay.”
And honestly, the Afro deserved its own moment.
Keeping his natural hair front and centre, Enioluwa shows exactly how an Afro can work beautifully in a formal portrait. The rounded, well-shaped silhouette frames his face while adding personality to what could otherwise have been a very conventional school photo.
But the hair is only part of the story. Enioluwa also used the shoot to show just how much range a tailored suit can have.
First came a textured royal purple suit, styled almost entirely in the same shade with a matching shirt underneath. The monochrome approach allows the texture and colour to carry the look, while dark-rimmed sunglasses, a silver watch and a single ring keep the accessories understated.
Then he moved into preppy territory with a navy blue suit featuring crisp white piping along the lapels and pockets. A light blue shirt, silver tie, black eyeglasses and teal lapel pin add layers of contrast without taking away from the clean tailoring.
And because no menswear wardrobe is complete without a proper tuxedo moment, Enioluwa saved his most classic look for last.
His three-piece tuxedo features a matte black jacket with deep velvet peak lapels, a tailored waistcoat and a crisp white dress shirt finished with a black satin necktie. Patent leather dress shoes complete the look, bringing the whole thing firmly into formalwear territory.
Three outfits, three completely different moods, and one very clear message: school headshots do not have to be boring.
