The Green October Event 2025 Was Basically Fashion Week in Disguise

If there was ever a carpet that doubled as a runway, it was last night’s Green October Event. Minimalism? Never heard of her. This year’s dress code (green + white) turned into a full-blown love letter stitched from luxury fabrics, dripping in accessories you could literally hear clinking from across the room.

Uriel Oputa floated in like she’d been air-dropped from a runway. Her green-and-white one-shoulder gown was giving “Greek goddess meets Nollywood premiere” — complete with a sweeping drape cascading dramatically from shoulder to floor. The glam? Precision brows, liner sharp enough to cut glass, and a soft lip that whispered “I woke up like this (but with a glam squad).”

Co-host Uzor Arukwe proved agbada is a lifestyle, not just an outfit. His plain green fit wasn’t plain at all — intricate embroidery across chest and hem gave “royalty at ease.” The accessories? Layered black beads with a golden pendant (because why stop at one when you can drip in three?), plus a stainless wristwatch for that subtle “I’m busy but I look good” energy.

The carpet didn’t stop there — Nelly Mnonu stunned in Prudential Atelier, Nyore Eroyn repped herself in a custom Eccentric Nyore, and Victory Wilson in Trish O Couture, Nana Nikeji, and Alvin repped Urhobo heritage with an LFD look that kept the cameras working overtime with looks that put the “wow” in wow, who invited the paparazzi?

Bottom line: If you missed it, you didn’t just miss an event — you missed a runway disguised as a cause.
