Menswear brand, Henri Uduku released its Resort 2019 collection “Ja Ara E.”
The collection, Ja Ara E, as explained by the brand is inspired by one of the designer’s childhood memories about a “hideous” kaftan his parents had made by a local tailor for Christmas. It came in an uninspiring brown Adire print that he very much disliked.
Ja Ara E closely follows the recently shown SS19 collection with the brand’s continuous use of African Tie Dye fabrics (Adire) but with the marbling technique. For detailing, the brand has the Fulani inspired paper embroidery as accents.
