Inside the Cultural Glam of the Owambe Thieves Premiere

Owambe Thieves

Banky W wasn’t lying when he said: “Ain’t no party like a Lagos party…” Because at the Owambe Thieves premiere, Lagos did what Lagos does best—show up and show out.

Held in the heart of Nigeria’s fashion and entertainment capital, the premiere of the new Nollywood comedy-heist film Owambe Thieves turned into a full-blown cultural fashion parade. With the red carpet pulsing with style, energy, and identity, the night was a seamless blend of heritage and high glamour.

A Movie, But Make It Aso-Ebi

Produced by Eniola Ajao and directed by Adeoluwa Owu, Owambe Thieves leans into Nigerian party culture with a wink—and the premiere embraced that spirit to the fullest. Guests pulled up like they were attending a Saturday wedding in Lekki: think lace, adire, ankara, Isi Agu, sequins, and drama.

Eniola Ajao led the style charge in a head-turning red creation by Tiannah’s Place Empire, featuring a modern twist on traditional Isi Agu fabric. The look was regal with a rebel edge—fitting for a film about glammed-up thieves. Beside her? Co-star Zubby Michael, also decked in Isi Agu, serving twinning synergy that instantly stole the spotlight.

The Stars Understood the Assignment

From the red carpet to the afterparty, every look felt intentional—vibrant, textured, and rich in cultural cues.
