Since Casey Cadwallader’s landing at Mugler in 2017, shows by a brand that carries transgression and spectacularity in its DNA have managed to refocus everyone’s attention. And this has been, once again, the staging of his spring-summer 2021 collection; shocking, striking, inclusive, and demanding. This time, marked by the rhythm of the pandemic, a video was the channel chosen by the artistic director of the house to give life to a show starring Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid and the trans model Dominique Jackson.
And it was precisely one of the garments from that show that has revolutionized Irina Shayk’s account, who shared one of the images of that day with one of the probably most impressive garments in this collection, only suitable for daring. It is a semitransparent jumpsuit combined with architecturally raised black fabric parts. With precise cuts of opaque fabric, Cadwallader has managed to create a drawing on the body of the models (Jackson also wore it on the catwalk), so that only certain parts are hidden. A fake nude effect with which the body is also stylized.
As expected, this pose by Irina Shayk has been applauded by her fans, reaching almost half a million likes in just a few hours. And it is that without a doubt, the spring proposals of Casey Cadwallader have not left anyone indifferent.
