A recent lawsuit filed in New York accuses actor Jamie Foxx of sexual assault at a Manhattan rooftop bar in 2015. The state’s law allows adults claiming to be victims of sexual abuse to file civil lawsuits, bypassing the statute of limitations. The complaint, dated Monday, alleges that Foxx groped a woman identified as Jane Doe after she asked for a photo at Catch NYC & Roof. The lawsuit asserts that the incident caused extreme emotional distress and resulted in the woman seeking medical care.
Foxx, who was reportedly in a relationship with Katie Holmes at the time, has not commented on the allegations. The suit was filed despite Foxx’s hospitalization earlier this year due to a medical complication during the filming of “Back in Action.” Representatives for Foxx, the rooftop bar Catch, and the woman’s attorney have not responded to requests for comment.”
