Joeboy has channeled his inner Michael Jackson in his latest single, ‘Zombie,’ bringing a thrilling twist to Afrobeats with a nod to one of the most iconic music videos of all time.
Released on August 14, 2024, ‘Zombie’ is another sensational pop record from Joeboy, known for his heartfelt lyrics and infectious melodies. The accompanying music video is a creative homage to Michael Jackson’s legendary ‘Thriller,’ with Joeboy recreating some of the most memorable scenes from the King of Pop’s groundbreaking 1982 video.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Zombie,’ Joeboy revealed that he wanted to revisit and celebrate defining moments of his childhood, with Michael Jackson’s music being a significant influence.
“One thing I decided to start doing is to have fun with my creative process. I want to start putting different parts of my experience of growing up as a child because this makes my music connect more, and everybody loves Michael Jackson,” Joeboy shared.
