Seeing double? You’re not alone.
One of the perks of having a supermodel mom like Cindy Crawford is that you get access to her iconic looks—and Kaia Gerber just proved how well she can rock them. On September 12, Gerber turned heads at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her film Shell, re-creating one of her mother’s most memorable red-carpet moments.
Wearing a white Herve Leger dress that echoed the custom gown Cindy Crawford donned at the 1993 Oscars, Gerber embodied ’90s supermodel glamour. The body-hugging dress featured signature Leger panels, underwire cups, and thick straps, creating a silhouette that was both modern and nostalgic. She completed the look with pointy white pumps and vintage jewelry straight from her mom’s personal collection.
To complement the ensemble, Kaia opted for a voluminous side-parted hairstyle, giving it a contemporary twist while still capturing the essence of Cindy’s famous cascading curls. The glossy, soft curls were pure ‘90s supermodel perfection.
Her makeup choices were also a blend of both Gerber and Crawford’s styles. Defined brows gave her look a distinctly early ‘90s vibe, while her glowing base, sculpting blush, warm nude lips, and bronzy eyeshadow with a subtle wing added modern flair. And of course, Kaia finished off the look with one of her mom’s go-to beauty trends: almond-shaped milky nails.
The result? A perfect blend of mother-daughter magic that left us all doing a double take.
