Kanye West made a statement at the Champions League showdown between Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, but fans are unsure if he saw any of the action.
The controversial rapper, 46, attended the match with his wife, Bianca Censori, sitting in the VIP section of the San Siro stadium in Italy. Joining them were fellow artists Playboi Carti and Rich The Kid, who have collaborated with Kanye on his latest album, Vultures 1.
Bianca opted for a black coat to complement her slicked-back black hair. However, fans were more focused on Kanye’s outfit, which included a black jacket with the hood up, black gloves, and a black mask covering his entire face.
This sparked a range of reactions on social media, with some questioning if he could see or breathe properly and others speculating if he would miss most of the match. Kanye is known for his eccentric fashion choices and has been seen in similar covered-up outfits before, including at the 2022 Super Bowl.
Despite his attention-grabbing outfit, Kanye has formed a unique bond with Inter Milan. He invited a group of the club’s Ultras into a studio to record a raucous backing atmosphere for some tracks on his new album, including “Carnival,” and even credited the passionate supporters on the album.
Kanye is hosting a listening party for his latest album in Milan before a similar event in Bologna over the weekend. However, before these events, he took the opportunity to watch Inter Milan’s clash with Atletico Madrid.
During the match, Kanye may have witnessed Inter’s Lautaro Martinez miss a glorious chance before half-time, followed by Marko Arnautovic missing two sitters after the break. Despite these misses, Arnautovic eventually found the net to give Inter a narrow 1-0 lead to take back to Madrid on March 13.
