Kim Kardashian is living life in the fast lane, literally. On the season 5 premiere of The Kardashians, which aired on May 23, the SKIMS mogul took viewers on a whirlwind journey as she prepped for a lightning-fast 12-hour trip to Paris Fashion Week. And let’s just say, her family was a little concerned about her sanity.
The 43-year-old reality star and businesswoman was seen detailing her travel plans to her mom, Kris Jenner, and Kris’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, while sipping Champagne on her private jet.
“So, I go to New York for six hours, then to Paris for 15 hours, to Atlantic City, to Milan. My plane’s gonna go home, pick up my kids…So, I’m actually gonna have them drop me off in Milan. Then I have to go to Washington D.C.,” Kim nonchalantly explained, as if her schedule was a casual weekend getaway.
Kris, 68, couldn’t help but point out the craziness of Kim’s packed itinerary, while Gamble, 43, wished for “safety, good energy, and a positive mind” for their journey.
In a confessional, Kendall Jenner, who was also in Paris to walk in the Victoria Beckham fashion show, expressed her concern. “God bless her soul. I have so much respect for the level of ‘give a f—‘ that she has…flying around to all these places and more power to her, for sure. But I just could never. It’s so much.”
Kim, on the other hand, seemed unbothered by the frantic pace of her life. Addressing the camera in her own confessional, she questioned why everyone was so worried about her work ethic. “Why is everyone so concerned that I work a lot? Everyone just has a different idea of what success is and looks like to them. I think you just should be non-judgmental of what that is. It could look like anything.”
Kendall wasn’t convinced, though. “I worry about her, I really do,” she admitted. “I think about her often in the sense of I want her to take a break.”
Kim, however, sees her packed schedule differently. “Work is my vice,” she declared. “Do you want me to be doing drugs? If I’m addicted to working and being busy, I don’t think that’s the worst thing,” she added, though her tone at the end suggested a hint of doubt.
Despite her hectic work life, Kim always makes sure to carve out quality time for her four kids. Following her fast-paced trip to Paris, she was back in mom mode, celebrating her youngest son Psalm’s 5th birthday on May 11 with a Ghostbusters-themed party.
“Psalm’s Ghostbusters party, how cute is this?” she gushed in a video showing off the spooky decorations.
