Kolapo Omotoso looked every inch the host at the Green October Event 2026.
Dressed in a deep forest-green agbada, the presenter leaned fully into the event’s colour theme while keeping the look rooted in classic Nigerian menswear. The flowing silhouette came in a subtly textured fabric, paired with matching trousers and a coordinating cap.
The real detail was in the front panel. A lighter sage-green design ran down the chest, mixing floral motifs with silver threadwork, beads and stones. More embellishment appeared towards the hem, where tiny green beads created a soft fringe that moved with the agbada.
Then came the accessory that gave the outfit its personality — a carved wooden walking stick decorated with intricate figures. Against the rich green tailoring, the warm wood added a traditional touch that felt deliberate rather than decorative.
Kolapo kept everything else refined. Dark sunglasses, a leather-strapped watch, silver jewellery and brown tassel loafers completed the look without competing with the embroidery or the statement accessory.
There is something particularly fitting about the outfit for a Green October host. It feels formal enough for the occasion, distinctly Nigerian in its styling, but still relaxed enough to move through an evening of hosting.
The green was the theme. The agbada was the statement. The walking stick was the finishing touch.
