On March 8, in alignment with International Women’s Day, La Mode will once again convene changemakers, visionaries and cultural leaders in London for the La Mode 100 Most Influential Leading African Women event, an annual gathering dedicated to recognising African women whose work continues to shape industries, communities and conversations across the globe.

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” offers a timely meditation on leadership, impact and reciprocity. At its core is a simple but powerful idea: that true influence is not measured solely by accumulation of power, accolades or visibility but by what is shared, invested and returned to society.

La Mode

Over the years, the La Mode 100 platform has grown into more than a list. It has become a cultural marker — spotlighting women whose influence spans governance, business, media, arts, technology, philanthropy and social impact. The 2026 edition builds on that legacy, honouring leaders who understand that progress is sustained when generosity and purpose sit at the heart of success.

Set against the backdrop of London, a global crossroads for culture, policy and commerce, the event will bring together honourees, industry stakeholders and invited guests for an evening of recognition, dialogue and reflection. Conversations will centre on leadership that is values-driven, impact that is intentional, and the enduring power of giving back as a strategy for long-term growth.

As global conversations around equity, sustainability and representation continue to evolve, La Mode remains committed to telling African stories with depth, nuance and authority. The La Mode 100 Most Influential Leading African Women event stands as both a celebration and a call to action affirming that when women give boldly, communities gain profoundly.

Further details regarding honourees and programme highlights will be announced in the coming weeks.
