On August 15, the pop icon surprised fans by unveiling a brand-new look—a head full of striking copper hair—as she announced her highly anticipated duet with Bruno Mars, titled “Die With a Smile.”
The big reveal came with a retro, country-glam cover photo for the single, in which Gaga’s new auburn locks took center stage. The look is giving serious “Jolene” vibes, reminiscent of Dolly Parton’s iconic character from the classic song. Gaga’s copper hair, styled in a voluminous, curly shag cut with side-swept bangs, perfectly complements the vintage aesthetic of the shoot.
In the cover photo, Gaga’s hair is paired with Twiggy-inspired makeup, courtesy of makeup artist Alexandra French. The glam look features a sleek cat eye with fluttery lashes and signature Gaga bleached eyebrows, along with a warm nude lip and orange blush. The result is a perfect blend of retro-mod and country chic.
To complete the look, Gaga donned a cornflower blue and red dress with floral embroidery and a large poufy red bow around her neck, adding a Western twist to a classic mod silhouette. Bruno Mars, not to be outdone, matched her vibe in a cowboy suit and hat, creating a stylish duo that has fans buzzing with excitement.
