The Brand

Boriah is the successor of the brand House of Karis which was formed in 2011 to cater for the clothing needs of women. In 2016 House of Karis metamorphosed into Boriah Clothiers due to the need of a better model/platform to reach our clientele. We offer ready-to-wear and bespoke pieces for the urban woman.

‘Boriah’ is an abbreviation of an ethnic Edo name which means ‘good hands’. This resonates one of our unique values; tailoring our pieces to perfection. We that a satisfied customer can build a business through a network of referral and as such, accompany our products with the ultimate customer experience to achieve total customer satisfaction. We invest in our people because we believe that they are key to achieving the vision of the brand.

Our Aesthetics

The Boriah woman is strong, vivacious and bold. She is trendy yet never loses touch of her personal style. She is intricately complex hence our aesthetics is versatile to cater to her. We combine the use of structures, silhouette, lines and colours to create unique pieces that should be in every woman’s wardrobe.

The Designer

Behind the brand is the woman, Grace-Mary Oisamoje. ‘Gmary’ as fondly called by friends, has always had a flare for the creative arts. She was the vice-president of the Photography Club at her high school and the best Fine Art student upon graduation. During her time in the university, she dabbled into fashion design as a hobby and in 2011 decided to turn her passion into a business hence the birth of her fashion brand Boriah Clothiers (previously House of Karis).

The need to deliver seamless services to her customers drove her to resign her lecturing job in order to acquire formal training. In 2015 she bagged a diploma in Fashion Styling from Instituto di Moda Burgo.

Grace-Mary is open and ready for new experiences and the challenges/lesson that come with them!
