Mercy Eke Brings Full Glamour to Cross & Chinonso Okonkwo’s Wedding in Amy Aghomi Couture

When Mercy Eke steps into a wedding, subtlety usually takes a back seat and honestly, that’s the point.

For the highly anticipated celebration of Cross Okonkwo and Chinonso Patricia Okonkwo, the “Queen of Highlights” delivered a look that leaned fully into opulence, turning the moment into a high-fashion showcase.

Dressed in a custom creation by Amy Aghomi, Mercy embraced a gold-and-champagne palette that felt regal, radiant, and unmistakably statement-making.

The gown opened with a sculptural off-the-shoulder neckline, defined by sharp, winged extensions that framed her décolletage with architectural precision. Beneath it, a structured corset richly detailed with gold filigree and crystal embellishments cinched the waist into a striking hourglass silhouette.

From there, the look unfolded into a richly textured composition of lace and intricate beadwork. Thousands of hand-applied embellishments caught the light with every movement, creating that unmistakable glow that follows her wherever she goes.

Her gele was equally commanding. Crafted in a matching champagne tone, the multi-layered headpiece added height, drama, and a sense of ceremonial elegance that anchored the entire look.

Styling stayed firmly within the luxury lane. A structured metallic gold clutch and bold statement earrings echoed the gown’s sculptural energy without overcrowding it.

Her beauty look followed through with intention: bronzed skin, shimmering gold lids, sculpted contours, and a glossy nude lip that softened the intensity just enough. With her hair neatly tucked beneath the gele, the focus remained exactly where it belonged on the craftsmanship and presence of the ensemble.

It’s easy to go overboard with gold. Mercy didn’t. She controlled it, shaped it, and made it work entirely in her favour.
