Man bags were everywhere on the recent runways. At Celine, Hedi Slimane had models carting around jumbo straw bags, as though they were headed to the beach in their skinny-fit leather jackets. Jacquemus showed netted fanny packs holding just an iPhone and an orange (supermarket-chic). Other labels such as Berluti and Dior had sleek leather purses, either carried as a clutch or worn cross-body.
Recently, male celebrities have hopped on board with purses, too. Rapper Lil Uzi Vert has developed a serious handbag habit, for one, carrying everything from a plush Chanel bag to a Goyard messenger. Harry Styles has also been known to tote a Gucci purse or two—he is the face of the Italian label, after all.
