The highly anticipated Nollywood series, Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre, a spinoff from the hit movie Anikulapo, premiered in Lagos on Sunday to much fanfare.

The premiere, held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, was attended by the major cast of the series and other A-list actors, all dressed in colorful and elegant attire.

Anikulapo: Rise Of The Spectre, an epic series, is set to launch on Netflix on March 1, reaching audiences in over 190 countries across the globe. Kunle Afolayan, the Producer and Director of the series, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the series, acknowledging that the project had been in the works for eight years.

He thanked the cast, crew, and supporters for believing in the dream and making the series a reality. The series picks up where the movie left off, following the life of Saro and his wife, with the mysterious bird Akala returning but with unfriendly intentions.

The series will explore themes of betrayal, revenge, and the fight for ultimate power.

Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre was shot at the Kunle Afolayan Production (KAP) Film Village in Komu-Igbojaye, Oyo State, with a cast and crew of 600 people.

The premiere was hosted by renowned comedian Gbenga Adeyinka and attended by actors such as Lateef Adedimeji, Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Femi Adebayo, Monalisa Chinda, Jaiye Kuti, Sola Sobowale, Taiwo Hassan, and Gabriel Afolayan, among others.
