Olandria Carthen brought a little danger to the 2026 MTV VMAs.
The Love Island USA star arrived in Los Angeles wearing ManMadeSkins’ Spring/Summer 2026 “Crimson Thorn” look, pairing a lace-up corset bodysuit with a dramatic mermaid skirt.
The outfit sat somewhere between lingerie and armour. Rich brown panels shaped the corseted bodice, while sweeping laces ran down the skirt before opening into a sleek fishtail hem. Red piping, metal eyelets, studs and tiny bows added just enough detail to keep the gothic mood going.
The waist cutouts made the silhouette even sharper, while a single shoulder and flashes of red gave the otherwise dark look a striking contrast.
Olandria did not need much styling to make it work. Long, voluminous curls, warm-toned makeup and glossy lips kept the beauty look sultry, while silver cuffs, statement rings and deep red nails picked up the metallic and crimson details in the outfit.
The look quickly caught attention beyond the red carpet, with InStyle describing it as a mix of medieval armour and siren glamour and placing Olandria among its best dressed.
From the villa to Milan Fashion Week and now the VMAs, Olandria is building a fashion identity around taking risks.
And “Crimson Thorn” might be her boldest red carpet move yet.
