Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Celebrates 30 Years in Nollywood With Daughter

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde celebrated a major milestone, 30 years in Nollywood and she did it in unforgettable style. The veteran screen icon arrived at her Lagos celebration in coordinated pirate-inspired looks alongside her daughter, Princess Ekeinde, turning what could have been a simple anniversary event into a full fashion moment.

Nobody quite expected the pair to step out in matching pirate costumes but once the photos dropped, it instantly made sense. Both women wore black faux leather corset tops paired with fitted black trousers, thigh-high boots and dramatic pirate hats finished with gold and yellow feathers. The outfits were tied together with red sashes cinched at the waist, belts adorned with gold skull hardware and layered gold chains draped across the bodice, creating a look that was theatrical yet polished.

While the silhouettes mirrored each other closely, subtle styling differences added personality to each look. Princess layered a white off-shoulder ruffled blouse beneath her corset, softening the bold leather ensemble with a romantic edge. Omotola, on the other hand, wore her corset as a standalone top, finishing the look with a statement wide gold cuff bracelet that reinforced the commanding energy of the outfit. Coordinated, confident and clearly having fun, the mother-daughter duo looked every bit like the stars of their own cinematic adventure.

The celebration arrives at a particularly exciting moment in Omotola’s career. The actress recently premiered her latest film, Mother’s Love, which is currently showing in cinemas across Nigeria. With a new project lighting up screens nationwide and a milestone anniversary to celebrate, the moment feels like both a reflection on her legacy and proof that her presence in Nollywood remains as powerful as ever.
