Tyla, the South African singer, has thrilled fans with the announcement of an upcoming release. Following the success of her hit single ‘Water,’ which holds the title of the most streamed afrobeat song on Spotify with a staggering 178 million streams, Tyla shared a video on social media with the caption, “Pre-save live December 1st,” teasing the release of a new song.

The remix of ‘Water’ featuring American rapper Travis Scott and Marshmello was released on November 17, 2023. Speculation had surrounded the collaboration, with fans guessing possible artists like Ayra Starr, Rihanna, Trevor Jackson, Chris Brown, or Rema. The remix comes on the heels of Tyla’s nomination for ‘Best African Music Performance’ at the 66th Grammy Awards scheduled for February 4, 2024. ‘Water’ also made its mark on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at Number 15.

In the global digital artist ranking and African Folder, Tyla secured the second spot among the Top 10 African artists, marking her continued success in the music industry. Fans eagerly await the release of her new music in December.
