Celebrity glitz and glamour illuminated the red carpet at the Academy Museum on Wednesday night as Hollywood’s A-listers gathered for the premiere of “The Color Purple.” The film, directed by Blitz Bazawule, promises a bold and fresh take on the beloved classic derived from Alice Walker’s iconic novel and the acclaimed Broadway musical.
The event saw a constellation of stars gracing the premiere, including the incomparable Oprah Winfrey, who took on the role of producer this time around.
