Taraji P. Henson brought the glam to the 2024 Tony Awards! On Sunday, June 16, the 53-year-old actress, known for her role in “The Color Purple,” wowed as a presenter at the prestigious event held at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York City.
Henson stunned in a strapless column gown adorned with scalloped details, completing her look with a sparkly purse and pointy heels. This red carpet appearance continues her streak of show-stopping looks this year, starting with January’s 2024 Critics Choice Awards.
At the Critics Choice Awards, the “Hidden Figures” alum turned heads in a modern twist on a classic look, wearing a form-fitting strapless white gown with a daring thigh-high slit. Her chic bob with bangs and lab-grown diamonds from Pandora added an extra touch of elegance, complemented by shiny silver pumps.
In February, Henson upped the ante at the SAG Awards, donning another strapless number—this time an all-black structured Giambattista Valli Couture gown featuring a dramatic neckline and train. She accessorized with a Bulgari Serpenti necklace and Betsey Johnson heels. Henson shared a more detailed look on Instagram, captioning it with “Black Girl Magic.”
Henson’s next big red carpet appearance is just around the corner as she gears up to host the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 30. In a statement on June 3, she expressed her excitement, saying, “I am thrilled to be returning as the host of the BET Awards for the third time. I am also looking forward to celebrating my peers and the impact of our culture on entertainment.”
A six-time BET Award winner, Henson returns to the annual ceremony after previously hosting in 2021 and 2022.
