For anyone with their finger anywhere even near the style pulse, you will have noticed that fashion’s love for animal print is going nowhere, as pre-empted during last year’s seasonal runway shows across the globe.
From Tom Ford to Diane Von Furstenberg via the likes of Victoria Beckham, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Carolina Herrera – to name just a few – designers everywhere indulged their animal instinct and turned their catwalks into urban jungles.
And with the trend well and truly ripe for picking, both high-end and high street stores are bursting at the seams with wild options.
It’s not the easiest trend to pull-off, however… an over-zealous approach carries a frighteningly large risk of channelling the iconic – but unfathomably badly-dressed
It is, however, very possible to wear the print in a chic, almost understated way (we said ‘almost’).
As a general rule of thumb, it’s a good idea to steer clear of skin-tight numbers and stick to loose-fitting pieces with feminine details and relaxed lines.
