The diamond jewels in the new Disney movie Cruella

Directed by Craig Gillespie and out this year, Cruella is already one of the new Disney releases to have won over a wide audience. The protagonist, the American actress Emma Stone, plays the role of Cruella De Vil, a famous antagonist who went down in history thanks to The 101 Dalmatians.

With a fresh look, a rocking story, and a rich storyline, Cruella is undoubtedly one of the new releases to watch. And it is no coincidence that the smallest details have been taken care of of this production, starting with the cast, which also includes actress Emma Thompson, who gives face to the character of Baroness von Hellman, director of a prestigious fashion house and boss by Emma Stone.

Even the character of the baroness, at times dark and mysterious, is wrapped in a cloud of glam. Cruella’s costumes, in fact, curated by Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan, are a Couture triumph. Not only clothes, however, but also accessories: one of the most memorable details of the Disney film is the diamonds worn by Emma Thompson.

To give more character to the character, it was the diamond house among the most important in the world, De Beers, to lend the British actress some jewels of rare value. Among the high jewelry creations worn by Emma Thompson there is in fact a white gold necklace, inspired, as reported by Forbes, by Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, nicknamed the Arpeggia. Embellished with brilliant diamonds and a house of micropavé diamonds, it is sumptuous and rich.

Not only that: other De Beers pieces worn by Emma Thompson attract the attention of the public. The De Beers Cupid Diamond Legends necklace, for example, whose sinuous shape is inspired by Cupid’s wings, or another, in white and yellow gold, which pays homage to Tchaikovsky’s ballet, Swan Lake.

From sumptuous jewels to extravagant clothes, Cruella is to be looked at carefully, to see creativity and details, sparkles and savoir faire, and to know even more deeply the secrets of high jewelry.
