Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo are embracing adulthood in style!
On Wednesday, July 17, the Stranger Things stars were seen strolling through the streets of New York City, checking out real estate. The duo, both 21, were accompanied by Matarazzo’s girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Yu.
Wolfhard kept it casual and comfy in a long-sleeved tee with rolled-up sleeves and athletic shorts. Matarazzo sported a laid-back look with grayish-beige barrel jeans, a white T-shirt, matching sneakers, and a burnt orange baseball cap. Yu complemented the boys’ style with a white T-shirt, light-wash blue jeans, black and white sneakers, round sunglasses, and a chic black baguette purse.
Their outing comes just days after Netflix released a sneak peek at the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things. On Monday, July 15, fans were treated to behind-the-scenes footage featuring series stars and creators Matt and Ross Duffer. The creators shared how emotional it is to wrap up the beloved series.
Matarazzo, who has portrayed Dustin Henderson since he was 13, shared, “You just remember why you’re doing it and how much fun you have.” Wolfhard, who has played Mike Wheeler since the same age, added, “I’m excited to have scenes with the original four.”
The fifth season promises to be an emotional ride, according to the Duffer brothers. “We do have an outline for season 5 and we pitched it to Netflix and they really responded well to it,” Ross Duffer told TheWrap in May 2022. “I mean, it was hard. It’s the end of the story. I saw executives crying who I’ve never seen cry before and it was wild.”
The series also stars Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Priah Ferguson, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Joseph Quinn, Maya Hawke, Jamie Campbell Bower, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder.
While fans eagerly await the premiere date for season 5, they can catch up on all the adventures in Hawkins, as Seasons 1-4 of Stranger Things are currently streaming on Netflix.
