The woman in the window: cast, release date and what the most harrowing psychological thriller on Netflix is about

Netflix has a few thrillers in store for this year, but The Woman in the Window could be the 2021 favorite . If you are into anguishing films and with which you do not know exactly what to think of their protagonists, write down this title because you will not want to miss it.

Synopsis of The Woman in the Window

The story is somewhat reminiscent of the mythical Rear Window , without a doubt, but in this case its protagonist is not as trustworthy as in the Hitchcock film.

Anna Fox is an agoraphobic child psychologist , so she has not left her home for a long time. Some new neighbors , a couple and their son arrive at the building and Anna befriends the woman, Jane . However, they are always seen in Anna’s apartment and never with other people.

One day the psychologist sees how Jane is stabbed and calls 911. However, when they go to see what happens, they find that Jane is fine , just not the same person that Anna had met .

What is the truth? Who was this woman who had been with Anna all this time? Is it possible that your medication made you see things that weren’t real? Or could it be that Jane’s husband orchestrated everything to make people believe that Anna is crazy?

Cast of The Woman in the Window

The film, which is directed by Joe Wright ( Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina, The Darkest Moment ), has a cast worthy of Hollywood’s biggest budget films, and the film was originally going to hit theaters. from 20th Century Fox although its premiere will finally be with Netflix.

Amy Adams plays Anna Fox, Juliane Moore plays Jane Russell and shares the role with Jennifer Jason Leigh.

In the role of Alistair Russell, Jane’s husband, we will see Gary Oldman and they are accompanied by Wyatt Russell , Anthony Mackie and Brian Tyree Henry among others.
