Nigerian actor Timini Egbuson has made a bold claim, declaring himself the biggest actor in Africa during a recent episode of the Menisms Podcast. Egbuson, who has 15 years of experience in the Nigerian film industry, cited his extensive body of work and accomplishments as the basis for his assertion.
The actor, known for his roles in the series Tinsel and MTV Shuga: Naija, as well as his award-winning performance in the film Elevator Baby, emphasized his impact on the industry. He mentioned his role in opening up opportunities for younger actors, stating, “I believe that I genuinely opened up the way for a lot of new school young actors. I also believe that I opened up the leading male young actor category.”
Egbuson also highlighted his contributions to other actors’ careers, claiming to have helped many big-name actors in the industry. He expressed disappointment that some actors fail to acknowledge his assistance, instead focusing on competition.
In addition to his acting career, Egbuson announced his venture into directing, with his debut project set to be released soon.
