If elegance had a matriarch, her name would be Tina Knowles.

The designer, philanthropist, and undisputed queen of family glam arrived at the Angel Ball in New York City looking every inch the icon she is — draped in a deep burgundy velvet gown by Valdrin Sahiti that could make even the chandeliers blush. The floor-length masterpiece featured crystal embroidery, an asymmetric neckline, and a sheer, jewel-studded panel that whispered luxury without saying a word. Then there was the side slit — a confident punctuation mark on a look that was all class, no compromise.

Held at Cipriani Wall Street, the Angel Ball wasn’t just another glittering night on the New York social calendar. It was a night of purpose — raising funds for cancer research, an issue close to Tina’s heart. A breast cancer survivor herself, she stood in the spotlight not just as a honoree, but as a symbol of strength and resilience wrapped in velvet and light.

Hosted by Denise Rich and her daughters, Danielle Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter, the annual event paid tribute to Denise’s late daughter Gabrielle, who passed away at 27 after a battle with leukemia. Among the guests were Gayle King and a constellation of stars who turned up to celebrate life, legacy, and the power of giving back.
