Travis Barker has done it again, adding another piece of art to his impressive collection of tattoos. The Blink-182 drummer, known for his extensive body ink, revealed his latest tattoo on Instagram on Friday, June 7, and it’s all about family.
In his recent Instagram post, Travis, 48, shared pictures showcasing his new tattoo: the word “FAMILY” in bold gothic lettering on the inside of his left arm. This new ink covers some of his existing tattoos, symbolizing the ever-growing importance of family in his life. He captioned the post, “No days off,” also sharing images of Blink-182, his luxury cars, his drum kit, and some broken drumsticks.
This new tattoo is a tribute to his expanding family, including his 7-month-old son, Rocky Thirteen, with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian. Travis’s love for tattoos and family often intertwines, as many of his tattoos hold sentimental value.
Travis has never shied away from expressing his love for tattoos, even defending his extensive collection in December 2021 when a critic called his body art “ridiculous.” The naysayer claimed, “When you get older, you are going to regret it.” Travis, with his trademark cool, responded, “When I’m older I’m probably gonna hang out with other badass tattooed dudes and generally look awesome. What are you gonna do when you just look like every other old person?”
His tattoos often honor those he loves and memories he cherishes. In April 2022, Travis got a tattoo to honor the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away in March 2022. His body art also includes a tribute to his late dog Blue and tattoos done in the same session as his daughter Alabama Barker.
But it’s not just about the tattoos he has; it’s also about who inks them. In January 2023, Travis had Kourtney Kardashian’s eyes tattooed on his upper right thigh. He even dubbed Kourtney his “favorite tattoo artist” in December 2021 after she tattooed “I love you” on his arm. During a September 2022 appearance on Today, Kourtney shared her favorites among Travis’s tattoos: “The Kourtney” and her lips, which she inked herself. She fondly recalled, “I wrote ‘I Love You’ in cursive language and then I did it. I put it on. I did the gun and did it. And then I practiced and did a ‘K’ with a heart. So there’s a few.”
