There’s something magical about witnessing first-time winners at awards shows, and Tyla’s big moment at the 2024 Video Music Awards was no exception. On September 11, the South African sensation proudly took home her first moon person for Best Afrobeats Song — and did so in standout style, complete with a shimmering rainbow manicure that had us swooning.
Tyla lit up the red carpet in a fringed neon yellow cut-out dress by Area, embracing a vibrant color palette for the night. The “Water” singer paired the bold dress with a green statement necklace, pink heels, and a manicure that took center stage. Her nails, decked out in colorful gems, were a playful yet chic accessory.
