Venus Williams Marries Andrea Preti in a Two-Country Wedding Celebration

Venus

Venus Williams is officially married and her wedding story unfolded across two beautiful destinations.

The tennis legend tied the knot with Italian actor and producer Andrea Preti, confirming the news today. Their celebrations spanned Italy and the United States, blending intimacy, family, and personal meaning over several months.

The couple first exchanged vows in September in Ischia, Italy, during a private ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean. While they originally planned to host their main wedding there, legal paperwork delayed the process. As Venus explained to Vogue, “Because I’m a foreigner, it can take about eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding.”

That second celebration took place in Palm Beach, Florida, unfolding over five days in December. Festivities included a yacht gathering hosted by Serena Williams, a boudoir-themed bridal shower, a family dinner in Miami, and a sports-filled day spent with close friends — all ending each night back at the couple’s home.

Before the larger ceremony, Venus and Andrea made their union official with a private courthouse wedding at Miami City Hall on December 19. Venus wore a dress by Morilee New York, describing the moment as “beautiful, calm, sacred, exciting, and exalting.” Preti echoed the sentiment, calling it “very unique, emotional, and deep.”

The final ceremony was held at their Palm Beach home. Venus walked down the aisle to “Ovunque Sarai” by Irama, wearing a custom Georges Hobeika gown. “I wanted to wear a dress that I thought Andrea would love,” she shared, adding that it felt perfect for a Florida setting.

Their bridal party featured Serena Williams, Isha Price, and Lyndrea Price, all dressed in tailored suits. The couple wrote their own vows, with Venus delivering hers in both English and Italian. Afterward, they recessed to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and shared their first dance to “I Only Have Eyes for You” by The Flamingos.

The celebrations concluded with an after-party in Hobe Sound, rounding off a wedding that felt deeply personal rather than performative.

As Venus summed it up simply: “It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.”
