Vixteau Couture is bringing something fresh to the fashion scene. Victor Adewole, the creative mind behind the brand, has released a new collection called Polka Ankara Mix. The collection came out on March 1st, 2024, and it’s all about mixing patterns and textures in a way that feels both cultural and stylish.
The collection uses a mix of fabrics to create a unique look. There is the classic polka dot fabric, paired with vibrant Ankara prints. Rich brocades and jacquards add a touch of elegance, while handwoven African textiles like Aso Oke, Kente, and Adire give it a deep cultural feel. Each piece tells a story, bringing together different African fashion influences.
Beadwork in the collection is inspired by the famous Benin bronze sculptures. The silhouettes are tailored with a royal touch, echoing Ethiopian nobility. There are also hand-beaded embellishments and metallic embroidery that add a bold statement. The draped designs give each outfit a strong, commanding presence, making sure the wearer stands out.
Victor Adewole has created something that feels both modern and traditional. The Polka Ankara Mix collection is a celebration of African craftsmanship with a stylish edge.
