Will Smith and Johnny Depp are making the most of their European trip, spending some quality time together on a yacht before their big concert appearances.
The actors are set to perform at Andrea Bocelli’s three-day concert event, Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration, at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, Italy. Joining them on their yachting adventure was Egyptian singer Ahmed Saad, who shared the fun moments on Instagram on July 12.
In the photo, Saad, 42, is beaming while standing between Smith, 55, and Depp, 61. “Great feeling to gather with friends Thanks my friends for the lovely visit @johnnydepp @willsmith @ismailmansour1 #AhmedSaad #johnnydepp #willsmith,” Saad captioned the post. He also included a group photo with more friends on board.
A source revealed that Smith and Depp were “together en route to the Andrea Bocelli concert they’re both performing at.”
Andrea Bocelli first announced his special event in April, but Smith and Depp’s participation was only confirmed in early July. Smith’s involvement was revealed on July 12, with Bocelli expressing his excitement on Instagram, saying, “Thrilled that Will Smith will join our extraordinary adventure of the Teatro del Silenzio. It makes us proud to be able to host this pyrotechnic artist, acclaimed actor, producer, and musician.”
Depp was announced as part of the lineup a bit earlier, on July 3. Bocelli praised Depp’s musical talents, calling him “a bona fide rockstar loved and applauded everywhere.” He reminisced about previous musical collaborations with Depp and was happy to perform together again.
The event, which began on Monday and continues on Wednesday, July 17, and Friday, July 19, will be filmed and released globally in theaters by Fathom this fall.
Other performers joining Bocelli, Depp, and Smith include Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Sofia Vergara, David Foster, Christian Nodal, Sofia Carson, Laura Pausini, Tiziano Ferro, Zucchero, Giorgia, and Bocelli’s children, Matteo and Virginia.
