Fresh off her Best Supporting Actress win for Sinners, Wunmi Mosaku arrived at the 2026 BAFTAs and delivered one of the night’s most memorable red carpet moments while heavily pregnant.

Dressed in a custom royal blue gown by Ahluwalia, the one-shoulder design featured a coordinating choker detail in the same fabric that instantly elevated the silhouette beyond a standard red carpet look. The architectural neckline framed a bodice constructed from layered folded panels that added depth and structure, before flowing into a full-length fringe hem with a subtle front split that moved effortlessly with every step.

Styled by Shameelah Hicks, the look balanced statement-making colour with comfort—an essential consideration given Mosaku is currently expecting her second child. Hicks has long maintained a clear styling direction for the actor: colour is non-negotiable, and maternity dressing should never feel like maternity dressing.

Mosaku completed the ensemble with strappy sandals by Stuart Weitzman and understated jewellery from Moussaieff. Her beauty look followed suit, with hair by Dionne Smith styled into a neat low braided updo that allowed the neckline to take centre stage, while Nigerian London-based makeup artist Joy Adenuga created a bold teal and blue eyeshadow moment that echoed the gown’s rich tone. Nails by Lucy Tucker Nails completed the red carpet finish.

Pregnant, BAFTA in hand, and dressed in a British-Nigerian designer, Mosaku’s appearance was a standout moment that celebrated both personal milestone and cultural pride in equal measure.
